Oren is taking on Halloween this year, paper style. Check out at this fun and easy way to make a decorative spider out of black kraft paper for your Halloween festivities this year.

What you’ll need

  • Several sheets black kraft paper torn into pieces
  • One 4 oz. bottle of “school glue” for paper such as Elmer’s
  • 2 Styrofoam balls one larger than the other
  • Popsicle stick or similar to attach balls to one another
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • Wiggle eyes

How to make your spider

Start by mixing glue with 1.5 parts water in a bowl. Next, mix torn pieces of paper with glue and apply to Styrofoam balls to let dry over night.

The next day, drill a hole in each ball and insert a wooden stick covered with glue to connect both balls together.

Next, twist two pipe cleaners together to form eight legs, two spinnerets and two fangs. After that, drill small holes in balls for the pipe cleaners, apply glue to pipe cleaners and insert into holes. Finally, adhere wiggly eyes on the front, and your done!

Enjoy your paper inspired spider this Halloween as a homemade decoration sure to spook family and friends.
